Just think of being over 45 feet
in the air and the only thing between the ground and you is a huge tube
twisting and turning until, you realize
that you have hit the bottom and are safely floating at the bottom then
realizing what you have just done and think to yourself “Did I really just do
that?”. Well that is what it was like for me when me and my friends when to a
water park and had to tell my friends the truth.
As we started to drive I could feel the anxiety
rush through the air. I was going to tell everyone we saw it; the water park. I could not
believe my eyes when I had seen all of the huge slides from the outside of the
resort. Just as we were entering the resort we were in our room getting
everything unpacked and waiting to see what we would do first. Well, it was
just my luck they all had wanted to go the water park.
So when they all were about to
get dressed for the pool I had tried to talk them all into getting something to
eat first before we go in the water park. I said that the restaurant at the
resort was rated 4 stars in their rating. Surprisingly the said yes, so at
least I had bought myself some time. I had already told my best friend this and
he didn’t know what I was going to say for the rest of the guys. I had figured
that I would tell them at the end of lunch so I wouldn’t ruin their time at the
water park when we were there. So they almost about done with eat while I had
only eat about half of mine. I was thinking and said to myself that I can do
this and show my friends that I am not scared to go down to a water park slide.
When everyone was done with lunch
we had all headed back to our rooms to get ready for the water park. We had all
gotten ready and everyone was so excited to get their they all ran their like a
bunch of mad men. We got into the park and it was bigger than I had normally
expected. So I came into the park with confidence but now I don’t know if I am
going to go through with it. So first we all had went in the lazy river so I
thought that I would try to lose them in there and get away from them. As soon
as I didn’t see them anymore I had made a run for it. When I ran out of the
lazy river I went by the basketball
hoops and stayed there until I was sure they were gone. I saw them go right
past me. One more step and they were gone. Then one of the worst things happen.
I see one of my old friends from another city.
Well turns out he was coming here too for spring break. Just as I was about to
walking past him he stopped me dead in my tracks, and he wanted to see if I
would go on a ride with him. I said that I was about to leave but he said one
last ride. As I thought of what he would say to me if I chickened out I told
myself that I can do this I said “Yes”. So we talked about which we would go on
I tried to find the smallest one, but before I had anytime to answer he was
already dragging me up to the highest and fastest ride. Then my heart dropped.
I have heard about this ride before it is said to be one of the fastest rides
in America. Then it got even better now my friends that I came here with are
here now too. That is when I knew that my life would be over in a blink of an
eye. So first three of them went and made it to the bottom safe and then I
thought to myself maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. But as we go into the tube I
got scared and jumped out. They both had asked what was wrong and I said
nothing. Right as we were about to leave again I jumped out again. They said "Are you sure you are ok." So I was thinking to myself what would happen if I told them. I thought
about it and said that I was afraid of water slides and that I didn’t like them
ever sense I was a kid. As my friends looked at me then at each other they both said that they were afraid to and
that the only reason they were going to do it was because they thought I wanted
to and they didn’t want to disappoint me. So we had talk for a few seconds but
then stepped back into the tube to grab my friend the boat started to go, so
then we all started to go down the slide we had all looked at each other and
started to scream. As we were going down the tube it felt like we were flying.
We hit turns left and right back and forth. We hit a huge drop and fell 10 feet
in a pool of water. As we finished up the ride we all had realized what we had
just done. And to tell you the truth I would do it again any day of the week.
