We All Should Be Equal

Author’s Note: This Point of View is about the poem “Animal Farm”. It is teaching about how the pigs feel and how they are being treated compared to the other animals. They should all be treated equal and no different than anyone else.

In this Point Of View piece is about how the difference of each animal are treated and how they feel about equality of them. The first view is from the view of the pigs and how they feel.

I wish that we were treated the same as the other animals at the farm. Just because are skin is pink and are noses are a little misshaped doesn’t mean that we are all not equal. We do our part in the world just as any other animals do. Some animals in the world may be more important, but doesn’t mean you should give them more attention and treat them different  than other animals. I think that if more people appreciated us a little more we would be so mad and sad that you would make us feel this way.

I think that the other animals would not care whatever the pigs would say because that animal is treated different than the pigs and so that they feel more important. Also they would make the pigs feel worse than they already are. And because they are already making the pigs feel bad they may go something bad that would make the other animals feel bad about themselves.

If I was another animal in this story I would not treat a different animal any other way than I would treat myself or someone in my family. And that is how I think the pigs feel they are being treated.

The Story of My Life

Today I was taken out of my bag and was put in the car and knew where we were going. As we started to drive to where I am used it got a lot cooler. It took us a while to get there but when we were there I got excited and scared because when I saw it was huge. When we got everything was set up he strapped part of me on and then head to the chair, as we got to the top he strapped the rest of me on we started to go down the hill and we when fast, really fast. When we came up to the first turn he made the first turn ok but then, we came up to the jumps and rails. We went off the ramp onto a rail and then down to the other ramp.
As we finished up the trail I saw the big and thankfully he didn’t go off that one. We went down different trails for a couple more hours and then he decided to take a break.

After an hour he want to use me again but I was all scratched up from all the rails and jumps. He went and used me for a few more hours and his friends wanted him to try the big jump. And every time he tried to go up it he would always end up falling. When we went back to the resort to rest for while until we went back out to try the big jumps with his friends until they had to leave. We got to the top of the hill and started to head to the terrain park to go to the black diamond jump. As we flew down the path I saw the jump and got scared the we wouldn’t make the jump.

As his friends cheered out his name he ascended up the jump and as we left the ground we flew through the air everyone was breath taken. He  started to wobble and we were dropping towards the ground. And everyone was scared that he was going to crash, but then at the last second he strained it out and we landed safely on the ground as we passed his friends and his parents all cheering for him. We went back to the resort to sleep for the night as I felt pride of being with him as he had a high achievement in his life.

How Would You Feel

Author’s Note: The poem “Animal Farm” is teaching about how the pigs feel about being treated differently than other animals and how they all should be treated equal and no different than anyone else.

In this story it about how the difference of each animal are treated and how they feel about equality of them.
I wish that we were treated the same as the other animals at the farm. Just because are skin is pink and are noses are a little misshaped doesn’t mean that we are all not equal. The Surviving Duo

Authors Note’s: In this essay I will be comparing and contrasting the main character Saba in the  book “ Dust Land Blood Red Road” and to Cole in “Touching Spirit Bear.”

In the book “Dust Land” Saba is a girl who is living in the after math of a destroyed world left by the Wreckers. Then as like any other normal day for her, out of the red sky comes a massive thunder storm that nearly kills her and her two other siblings. When they think it was ok to leave their shelter four men come in robes and turbans riding horseback take her older brother and kill their father. Then she is forced to leave her home and survive in the demolished world around her to try and save her brother from death. This story is like another book I had read called “Touching Spirit Bear.” In this story Cole a troubled boy is trying to avoid the fact that he is a criminal on the run. When caught he is put in a program for troubled boys that desperately need help. When he is sent to an island in Alaska and forced to live off the land for one year and survive on his own until he met a spirit bear that helped him get back on the right track. These two stories are related for their survival for not only themselves but for the greater good of others around them.

Their similarities are the Saba and Cole are to see what their actions had affected on other people in their life time. When Saba when to go to save Lou her older brother she burned her house with her father in it so that she had the proper burial for her father so that not only effected her but also her sister as well. Also when Cole was still in school he was known as a bully and got into fights with this guy named Peter who he barely knew. Another similarity was their fight for survival and not only saving themselves but the ones they cared about. When Saba left to go save her brother she had to leave her sister and her aunt’s house because she did not want anything else happen to any other family member. Cole didn’t want to go to the island but he didn’t want to be hurting anyone else that he met that he wanted to be friends with.

Although they may want to do better for themselves they also do have some differences in their stories. Even though Saba is trying to survive, she is doing it for her brother and not for herself and Cole is only trying to fight for himself and no other people than himself.
Even though these characters are from different books, I believe that they are fighting for the same reasons. And just maybe they will make it through this fight for life.

Two Stories, One Life

Authors Note: This essay is about similarities and differences between the movie The Patriot and the book Soldier’s Life.

Even though war is something many countries want avoid they can no escape it. This is one of the similarities between these two stories of men fighting their rights and also their freedom. The main characters in these story tails of their fight for their country are not so different. They both were in some ways were dragged into war and both didn’t like that they were doing it. All the things they have been through they still somehow made it through the war without dying.

In the movie the Patriot the main character Benjamin Martin is force in to war because of his son dying  by the hands of British soldier’s and in the book  “Soldiers Secrets” the main character's family member dies in the revolutionary war at
the hand of a British solider.

The Will Power of One Man

Author’s Note: This essay is about “will power” and not only being able to make the right choices in life but the smart one’s as well.

Many average American don’t have very good will power to make the right choices in their life time. Some people don’t have a role model to tell them not to make bad decisions. Some of the decisions are so drastic that they go to jail or worse maybe even death. But in the book Hatchet Brian is one of the hand full of people the has the will power to survive a life changing journey.

Brian is life a very famous person that has enormous will power. George Washington. He was a man that had enough will power to take responsibility for a whole nation. Brian is like this because when he was fling to Canada the pilot had a heart attack and died. Brian had to take the controls and land the plane in the middle of the forest. As if that wasn’t enough now he has to find his way back to civilization on his own with only a hatchet.

In the end Brian was looking for a  way out of the forest and had to have huge amount of will power to survive and I think that he could survive anywhere at any time

Survival in The Desert

I think that Ben will escape from Madec and the desert in time and will alert the police or FBI.  This will happen because Ben wanted to tell the police about how Madec shot the old man and left him for dead. Instead Madec had another idea. Madec tried to kill Ben so that Madec won’t get arrested for shooting at Ben and the old man. Years later Ben will eventually go back to living a normal life and will try to forget what had happened when Madec attacked him and the inanest man.

This can relate to another book called Red Hot High-Tops. The main character is a girl on her middle school basket ball team finds a pair of red Nike high-top that aren’t hers. Her friend wants her to do the right thing and return them but she doesn’t want to do that because the shoes are helping her do better so then she tells the coach about them and she decides to return them kind of like Ben. But over all I think that Ben will end up escaping and doing the right thing by telling the police.
